I wanted a personal website that felt polished, but I did not want to spend the first week rebuilding layout, RSS, search, archives, and content plumbing from zero.
Starting from a strong existing codebase gave me three things immediately:
- a production-ready content architecture
- a visual system that already feels personal and readable
- enough time to focus on content instead of framework setup
The next iteration will replace more placeholder assets and expand the information architecture around projects, notes, and writing.
